Processing process of panel furniture

Gaosheng distinguishes itself through superior craftsmanship& advanced machines, ensuring high-quality, customizable products that exceed customer expectations We consistently follow our high-end manufacturing process in producing high-quality panel furniture that meets customer demands and industry standards.

Design and Planning

This stage involves conceptualizing the furniture design, creating detailed drawings or computer-aided design (CAD) models, and planning the materials and components required for production.

Material Preparation

Raw materials such as plywood, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), particleboard, or other engineered wood panels are selected and prepared for cutting and shaping. This may involve cutting the panels into appropriate sizes and applying edge banding if necessary.

Cutting and Shaping

Computer numerical control (CNC) machines or panel saws are used to cut the prepared panels into precise shapes and sizes according to the design specifications. This includes cutting components such as panels, shelves, doors, and drawer fronts.

Drilling and Milling

CNC machines are often used to drill holes for assembly hardware, such as hinges, drawer slides, and shelf supports. Additionally, milling operations may be performed to create grooves or decorative patterns on the surfaces of the panels.

Edge Banding

Edge banding strips are applied to the exposed edges of the panels to conceal the raw edges and provide a finished look. This can be done using hot melt adhesive edge banding machines or manual edge banding tools.

Assembly

The various components of the furniture, including panels, shelves, doors, and drawers, are assembled according to the design specifications. This may involve using screws, dowels, cam locks, or other fasteners to join the components together.

Finishing

The assembled furniture pieces may undergo finishing processes such as sanding, staining, painting, or applying clear coatings to enhance the appearance and durability of the surfaces.

Quality Control

Throughout the production process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure that each furniture piece meets the required standards for dimensions, aesthetics, functionality, and durability.

Packaging and Shipping

Once the furniture pieces have passed quality control inspections, they are packaged securely to protect them during transportation and shipped to distribution centers or directly to customers.

Processing process of panel furniture

Strictly following these steps in the upholstery process, manufacturers can producehigh-quality sofa, beds that are comfortable, stylish, and built to last.

Frame Construction

The furniture frame is constructed using wood or metal materials, forming the structural foundation of the piece. The frame is designed to provide support and stability for the upholstery components.

Springing

Springs or webbing are installed within the frame to provide support and comfort. This step involves attaching coil springs or webbing to the frame using ties or clips, ensuring even distribution of weight and resilience.

Padding and Cushioning

Layers of padding materials such as foam, polyester fiberfill, or down feathers are added to the frame to create the desired level of comfort and support. Cushions may be constructed separately and attached to the frame or built directly into the upholstery.

Upholstery Fabric Selection

Upholstery fabric is selected based on factors such as durability, style, and color. Fabrics may include natural fibers such as cotton, linen, or wool, as well as synthetic materials like polyester or microfiber.

Fabric Cutting and Sewing

The selected upholstery fabric is cut to size and sewn together to create the various components of the furniture piece, such as the seat, backrest, arms, and decorative accents. Skilled upholsterers ensure precise cutting and stitching to achieve a professional finish.

Upholstery Attachment

he upholstered components are attached to the frame using staples, nails, or screws, securing the fabric in place and ensuring a tight and smooth fit. Careful attention is paid to seams, corners, and edges to achieve a seamless appearance.

Trimming and Finishing

Trim details such as welting, piping, or nailhead trim may be added to enhance the appearance and durability of the upholstery. Any excess fabric is trimmed away, and the upholstery is inspected for quality and consistency.

Final Inspection

The completed upholstery furniture piece undergoes a final inspection to ensure that all components are securely attached, seams are straight and even, and the overall appearance meets quality standards.

Packaging and Shipping

Once the upholstery furniture piece has passed inspection, it is carefully packaged to protect it during transportation and shipped to distribution centers or directly to customers.
